Re-enactments, Living History Displays & More Offer A Glimpse Into Civil War Life
Residents and visitors to Franklin, Tennessee will get a glimpse into the life of a soldier during the 1864 Battle of Franklin at the City’s annual Civil War Days, set for Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 16-17 at Harlinsdale Farm. This year marks the 146 th Anniversary of the Battle of Franklin that resulted in approximately 10,000 casualties in five hours in what was one of the bloodiest battles of the American Civil War.
Saturday:
10:00 AM Gates Open to the public for tours of camps and sutler areas
11:00 AM Lecture on the Battle of Franklin (Thomas Cartwright or Eric Jacobson)
1:30 PM Re-enactment
3:00 PM Book Signings (local authors autograph books)
5:00 PM Gates Close
Sunday:

11:30 AM Civil War Church Service (Rev. Alan Corry presides)
