The James D. Vaughan Gospel Quartet Festival will be held July 26-28, 2012 at Lawrenceburg's Crockett Theater.
James David Vaughan (1864–1941) was a music teacher, composer, song book publisher, the founder of the Vaughan Conservatory of Music and the James D. Vaughan Publishing Company. Vaughan is generally considered to be one of the founders of the genre now known as "Southern Gospel" music.
Thursday 26th - -Ernie Haase and Signature Quartet---7:00 p.m.
Friday 27th -- Performance on Friday night include "The Inspriations," "The McKameys," and back by popular demand, "Ed O'Neal and the Dixie Melody Boys." Starts at 7:00 p.m.
Saturday 28th -- A matinee concert, featuring the "LeFevre Quartet" at 1:00 p.m. will start off Saturday's performances, followed by the 6:00 p.m. evening event showcase featuring the return performance of the "Mark Trammell Quartet," "The Kingsmen," and "Gold City Quartet."
