Christmas Open House at Melrose

The park will host an open house at Melrose on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, December 10th through 12th.
Interpreters will guide visitors outside and inside the house. This year's program depicts the local holiday season of 1860 focusing on the people and thoughts leading up to the Civil War. The Mansion will be decorated to reflect a Christmas during the time period. Special programming will also be offered inside one of the slave cabins, and activities will be offered for children.
In addition, several of the outbuildings will be open to view including the slave quarters, dairy, and carriage house.
