Bridges-Hall Manor Bed and Breakfast is located 5 miles from the Natchez Trace Parkway. Exit Natchez Trace Parkway onto Mississippi Highway 8 (milepost 230) and travel west.
If you are cycling north towards Houston do NOT exit onto MS Highway 389 - it is not a short-cut and the road is rough - continue north to MS Highway 8 and then exit the Trace to Houston. If you are cycling south towards Houston do NOT exit onto MS Highway 32 west to MS Highway 15 - it is not a short-cut and MS Highway 15 is heavily traveled - continue south to MS Highway 8 and then exit the Trace to Houston.
For all travelers (whether riding a bicycle, motorcycle or automobile) there is one turn in Houston that is easy to miss. Bridges-Hall Manor is located on North Jackson Street which runs north and south. North Jackson Street originally was Highway 15 until the highway was moved west of town as a bypass. Unfortunately, at the corner of MS Highway 8 (Madison Street) and Jackson Street where the County Courthouse is located there is no sign for Jackson Street. If you are heading west on MS Highway 8 (Madison Street) turn right (north) as soon as you pass the courthouse. This will put you on Jackson Street. Travel four blocks and Bridges-Hall Manor will be on your left.
