Parkway Information Cabin at Ridgeland
Natchez Trace
The Parkway Information Cabin at Ridgeland sits just off the parkway at milepost 102.4 in the building that previously was home to the Mississippi Crafts Center. A few years ago the crafts center moved a couple of miles away to a larger facility.
Park rangers staff the information center which is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The restroom facilities are open 24 hours a day. The information center's phone number is 601-898-9417.
Natchez Trace Parkway travelers can ask questions, pick up literature and purchase Trace souveniers.
Ridgeland Multi-Use Path
The parking area behind the cabin is also a trail-head for the Ridgeland Multi-Use Path which parallels the parkway from the Ross Barnett Reservoir area to just south of I-55 with construction and plans to extend the trail all the way to Clinton, MS. When car traffic is heavy cyclists can exit the parkway at the north end at Reservoir Overlook (milepost 105.6) and at the south end at the Choctaw Agency (milepost 100.7).
