The National Park Service (NPS) has prepared draft Statements of Findings (SOFs) for Wetlands and Floodplains for Multi-use Trail Segment 3P19 – A Bridge Over County Line Road and Trail from 200 Feet West of County Line Road to Milepost 96.0 (Approximately from Milepost 95.0 to Milepost 96.0).
The National Park Service, Natchez Trace Parkway, announces a lowered speed zone on a two- mile section south of Interstate 20 in Hinds County, MS. In this area, there is habitat for many species of salamanders and frogs, including the state-imperiled Webster’s salamander (Plethodon websteri).
The Parkway will be presenting drafts of the new exhibits for the Meriwether Lewis site on December 15, 2011. The public is invited to comment on these drafts.
