Riverside Cottage Bed and Breakfast Guest Comments

A belated note to say thank you for booking our stay at Riverside Cottage in Tuscumbia, Alabama. We had such an enjoyable time at this lovely property with our friends the Smythes.

Diane was such a gracious, thoughtful, friendly and considerate hostess and gave 110% to assure our needs were met during our visit. We highly recommend her resort to anyone looking to visit the area.

We were so busy in the few days we were there seeing the sights in the vicinity, including those in Mississipi and Tennessee that we wished we had more 'down time' to enjoy the natural beauty of her property along the Tennessee River/Pickwick Lake...not to mention the fabulous swimming pool and hot tub!

We did get to 'bike the Trace' on what seemed to be the hottest day in July! (and we did see the Stone Wall and had lunch in Collinwood, TN). Our favorite ride was biking the 9-mile loop of the Shiloh National Battlefield virtually all to ourselves (and the several deer that came out to say hello!).

Our highlights of the trip included dinner in a cave at Rattlesnake Saloon, a visit to the Coon Dog Cemetery, a few good meals in Florence, a tour of Tuscumbia and Helen Keller's birthplace home, a drag race at a local track, a trip into Corinth where we saw the informative and inspirational Civil War Interpretive Center and a visit to the drug store/museum where we finally got to try the infamous slugburger. Our weekend was action-packed!

Thank you again for your help in making our Natchez Trace trip memorable and enjoyable. We would love to try the beginning and ending parts of this historic trail as well in the future and hope that you can assist us in those reservations as well.
