Information for cyclists bicycling from the Natchez Trace to Hummingbird Haven B&B in Fernvale / Leiper's Fork, TN.
Hummingbird Haven B&B is located 8 miles from the Natchez Trace Parkway about halfway between Fairview and Leiper's Fork. Though 8 miles from the parkway (Hwy 96/Double Arch Bridge exit at milepost 438), the route is easy to bike along country roads and Hwy 96 that has a wide shoulder.
Cyclists staying at Hummingbird Haven could also bike the 28 mile Fernvale - Leiper's Fork Loop Route (9 miles on the Natchez Trace and 19 miles on scenic country roads), more info: click here

- Bicycle Storage: Bicycles can be stored on back porch area.
- Food: Cabin's kitchen is stocked with breakfast foods for you to prepare on your own timetable. For dinner, there are no restaurants or markets within walking or a short bike ride. You can bring food to prepare in the kitchen.
- Shuttle: Shuttle service to/from Natchez Trace Parkway is available for a fee. If needed, you can leave your vehicle at Hummingbird Haven while you bike ($25 per vehicle parking fee for up to 3 days, $5/day/vehicle after 3 days).

Directions from the Natchez Trace Parkway (highlighted pink route):
- Exit the parkway onto TN Highway 96 at milepost 438.
- Turn left onto Hwy 96 going west and drive under the famous Double Arch Bridge which carries the Trace over Hwy 96.
- Travel 2.7 miles on Hwy 96 and then turn left onto Old Harding Pike. There is a small "Fernvale" sign at this intersection. Note for cyclists: Hwy 96 is a four lane road but there is a very wide shoulder on both sides of the road and the highway is designated as a bicycle route.
- Go south 5 miles on Old Harding Pike. At the first stop sign (a three-way stop) turn right onto Fernvale Road.
- Go over the bridge (South Harpeth River), stay to the right, 1/10th of a mile and the entrance to Hummingbird Haven will be on your left.
Directions from Fairview (highlighted blue route):
- Exit TN Highway 100/TN Highway 96 onto Fernvale Road
- Travel 4 miles on Fernvale Road, just past the white church building and the entrance to Hummingbird Haven will be your right.
