The Parkway Information Cabin is currently closed.
However, the comfort station is open.
The Parkway Information Cabin at Ridgeland sits just off the parkway at milepost 102.4 in the building that previously was home to the Mississippi Crafts Center. Several years ago the crafts center moved a couple of miles away to a larger facility.
Before Covid-19 the information cabin was open on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Parkway visitors can discover Choctaw history and culture, pick-up Natchez Trace Parkway maps and information, purchase books or patches in the Eastern National Sales outlet, and talk with volunteers.
Restroom facilities are open every day.
The information center's phone number is 601-898-9417.
Ridgeland Multi-Use Path
The parking area behind the cabin is also a trail-head for the paved Ridgeland Multi-Use Path which parallels the parkway from the Ross Barnett Reservoir area to just south of I-55. When car traffic is heavy cyclists can exit the parkway at the north end at Reservoir Overlook (milepost 105.6) and at the south end at the Choctaw Agency (milepost 100.7).
