Tupelo, Mississippi
Tupelo, northeast Mississippi's largest city, is the county seat of Lee County. Tupelo is best known as the birthplace of Elvis Presley. The Natchez Trace Parkway headquarters and visitor center are in Tupelo.

Indigenous peoples lived in the area for thousands of years. The historic Chickasaw and Choctaw occupied this area long before European encounter.
Civil War battlefields include: Tupelo National Battlefield and Brices Cross Roads National Battlefield.
The population of Tupelo was 35,688 in 2014.
