Tupelo Paving Project - Natchez Trace Parkway

A nine-mile stretch of the Natchez Trace Parkway thru Tupelo, MS will be closed for several months starting July 2021 for repaving.

The project has been split into two sections (phases):

Phase One The first phase of paving (from milepost 257 at the US Highway 278/Hwy 6 intersection to milepost 262.5 at the McCullough Boulevard/Hwy 178 intersection) began July 19, 2021 and was completed October 9, 2021. The parkway from milepost 257 to milepost 262.6 is now open.

Phase Two Paving on the second phase will be between milepost 262.5 at the McCullough Boulevard/Hwy 178 intersection to milepost 266.1 just north of the Parkway Visitor Center at the Hwy 145 intersection. Phase two will begin the week of October 11, 2021.
