Columbia, Tennessee
Columbia, the county seat of Maury County, is located in Middle Tennessee about 17-24 miles east of the Natchez Trace Parkway.

The town is known as the "Mule capital of the world" and honors this fact with Mule Day, a large celebration held annually every April.
James K. Polk, the 11th President of the United States, lived in Columbia during his early adult years. Columbia is also the home of the national headquarters for the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
The population in Columbia was 36,071 in 2014.
