The Commodore Inn at Clifton - Clifton, Tennessee
The Commodore Inn at Clifton, a Victorian Bed and Breakfast, is located in historic Clifton, Tennessee.
The circa 1890s home is part of a Victorian Village created by the original owner that also includes a one-room schoolhouse, Victorian wedding gazebo and gardens. Clifton's quaint downtown district with restaurants and an historic riverfront park are only two blocks from the inn.
The recently renovated home features five large guest rooms that each have a king size bed, private bathroom, individually controlled heating and cooling, wifi and Roku streaming television. Common areas include a parlor, dining room, microwave and refrigerator are available in the kitchen for guest's use and front and back porch sitting areas.
The Commodore Inn, formerly the Hughes House, has been added to the National Register of Historic Places. The Tennessee Historical Commission, the state agency that is designated as the State Historic Preservation Office, recently (November 2020) announced this designation.
