Staying at the Farmhouse Sanctuary on my 4 day NTP ride was the highlight of the trip. This is a gem in what seemed to me, the middle of nowhere. The quality, artistry, food, scale and overall experience was exceptional. Can not recommend enough. Thank you Ute and Conrad for making it so special.

We arrived by bicycle. Of course, we arrived early and were warmly welcomed by Conrad and Ute. We just hung out in the screened porch and watched the animals roam freely (and content!). The house is a beautiful masterpiece of a creative and skilled woodworker. Every detail in the creation of the house is amazing! Since we had arrived by bicycle and didn't have the energy to bike an additional 30 miles roundtrip we pre-ordered a cheese and pepperoni pizza that was EXCELLENT !!! And so glad we did! The house is located very close to NTP in a very quiet area. Sleeping was the best - a firm mattress; exceptionally clean home; comfortable furnishings; reading materials about; and, excellent hosts. Making our reservations with Conrad & Ute was e-z. Plus, they emailed us all the particulars about the house, farm along with an order form for Conrad to prepare exactly what we wanted. Everything we ate was full of flavor and very fresh.

Ute and Conrad were great!! We had bike trouble and they went well above and beyond to help us out and keep us on schedule of our Natchez Trace bike trip. Ute was exceptional taking us to the bike shop twice for repairs. Accommodations were top notch. I highly recommend them for anyone coming into the Florence, Alabama area. Ute and Conrad...thanks so much!!

Wonder-full place to stay along the Natchez Trace. Our time spent with our hosts and the animals was the highlight of our trip. The accommodations were faultless, the hospitality warm and the experience uncompared. I would highly recommend staying at the Farmhouse Sanctuary. Make sure to help feed the animals if you can!
