Old Capitol Inn - Jackson, Mississippi

Within walking distance of the Old Capitol Inn, you will find the William F. Winter Archives Building, Mississippi Civil Rights Museum, Museum of Mississippi History, The Old Capitol Museum, War Memorial Building, and the Merci Train.

The building was built in 1952 as the YWCA (Young Womens Christian Association). The property was purchased by local attorney and business professional Michael J. Malouf to be converted into a bed and breakfast. Renovations began in May, 1996 and the Inn welcomed its first guests in November. Due to its proximity to the Old Capitol Museum, the boutique hotel was named The Old Capitol Inn.

The Inn's 24 guest suites/rooms offer three separate room types: Whirlpool Tub/Honeymoon Suites, One-Bedroom Suites and Standard Accommodation Rooms. Some suites have garden patio views or city/downtown views. Four connecting rooms are available for families or groups traveling together.

The Old Capitol Inn is owned and operated by the Malouf family, lifetime residents of Jackson, who take pride in showcasing their beautiful city and showing the true meaning of southern hospitality.
