Davis Lake Recreation Area

Davis Lake Recreation Area, overseen by the U.S. Forest Service, is four miles west of the Natchez Trace. Exit the Trace at milepost 243.1. On your way to Davis Lake you will pass by Owl Creek Mounds on the right.

The recreation area, located withing the Tombigbee National Forest, includes Davis Lake, a campground and a day use area. Davis Lake is popular for all kinds of recreational opportunities, including swimming, fishing, boating, birding and wildlife viewing. The campground is situated in a hilly, mixed hardwood and pine forest that stretches along the eastern shoreline of Davis Lake.
