The foundation reveals how the columns of Windsor Ruins have stood tall for over 130 years.
In 2013, MDAH (Mississippi Dept of Archives & History) commissioned an archaeology survey of the foundation of the columns of Windsor Ruins to try to find out what has been keeping the columns standing for over 130 years without any lateral support.
Footings are beautiful brick structures approximately 3 1/2' deep and continuous from one column to another.
