Pleasant Hill Bed and Breakfast - Natchez, MS

Pleasant Hill Bed and Breakfast - Natchez, MississippiBuilt in 1835, this bed and breakfast is just two blocks from the business and shopping district of Natchez. Pleasant Hill was originally built by John Henderson, a prosperous merchant, publisher of the local newspaper, and a founder of Natchez' First Presbyterian Church.

The original home was built on property that is now the location of another famous antebellum home, Magnolia Hall. Over a two-year period during the 1850s Pleasant Hill was moved one block south on log rollers by oxen teams.

The garden floor houses four bedrooms, each with private bath, that open into a center hall/sitting area. There is also a glass enclosed, brick-floored Sun Room with wet bar, TV and antique wicker furniture with views of the back yard gardens.

Pleasant Hill is one of the tour homes on the Natchez Fall Pilgrimage of Antebellum Homes held during late September thru early October. Overnight guests also receive a tour of the home.
