Clifton, located next to a horseshoe bend of the Tennessee River, has been given The Best Water Award 2013 as one of the Top 10 Small Towns in the South.

Downstairs you will find the original, beautiful woodwork around the windows and other period details in the parlor and dining room. Upstairs are five unique bedrooms that each have private, in-room bathrooms. Upstairs you can sit on the balcony and enjoy an early morning cup of coffee. Downstairs in the parlor you can sit and watch movies, listen to music, play cards, board games or read a book. The front porch is a great place to sit and unwind. A full breakfast is served in the dining room each morning.

Settlers were drawn to the area in the early 1800s because of the Tennessee River. The golden age of Clifton existed during the early 1900s when the steamboat was king and Clifton was an important river port town. As modes of transportation changed and the river landing became less important, a gradual decline hit the area. In the 1990s, Clifton saw a rebirth: when tourists visit Clifton, the natural beauty of the area awes them. Pillow Street B&B is a block from the river and a short distance from Main Street shops and restaurants and the historic river landing area.

Clifton offers a wide variety of outdoor activities including river activities, fishing, canoeing, horseback riding and golf. Nearby attractions include Amish/Mennonite communities, T. S. Stribling Museum, Clifton Marina, Natchez Trace Parkway, Shiloh Civil War Battlefield and Pickwick Dam and State Park.
